Disturbing PSA

This Public Service Announcement comes to us from the UK. If only US television would be so bold as to air something of such significance.

WARNING: This is not for the kiddies or prudish adults.

Meet Ron Paul

Good news, he's a Libertarian running for the Republican Presidential nomination. Bad news, nobody takes him seriously. Rudy Guilianni provides the oafish laugh track behind most of Paul's honest answers in the FOX Repub debates. Youtube can help you if you forgot to set your TIVO.

From his website http://www.ronpaul2008.com

As a specialist in obstetrics/gynecology, Dr. Paul has delivered more than 4,000 babies.

Brief Overview of Congressman Paul’s Record:

He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress.

Do you know what Colony Collapse Disorder is?

PBS had a fascinating, yet ultimately scary, program about the loss of bees in America and around the world.

"In the winter of 2006/2007, more than a quarter of the country's 2.4 million bee colonies -- accounting for tens of billions of bees -- were lost to CCD, Colony Collapse Disorder. This loss is projected have an $8 billion to $12 billion effect on America's agricultural economy, but the consequences of CCD could be far more disastrous.

The role honeybees play in our diet goes beyond honey production. These seemingly tireless creatures pollinate about one-third of crop species in the U.S. Honeybees pollinate about 100 flowering food crops including apples, nuts, broccoli, avocados, soybeans, asparagus, celery, squash and cucumbers, citrus fruit, peaches, kiwi, cherries, blueberries, cranberries, strawberries, cantaloupe, melons, as well as animal-feed crops, such as the clover that's fed to dairy cows. Essentially all flowering plants need bees to survive."

Crazy is...

Anybody else enjoy Ron Paul's refreshing brand of "Crazy"?
This "Agent Smith on holiday look- alike" has an interesting rant. No need for alarm... I'm sure it's just a coincidence that he LOOKS AND SPEAKS like an Agent of The Matrix. I'm not for Ron Paul, yet-- despite the allure of his great pornoesque name AND my affinity for Anarchy utopia.

Stupid mistakes, hmmm.

About 350 people spent Sunday night on cots inside the Escondido High School Gym after evacuating their homes in Ramona, San Pasqual and other areas because of spreading wildfires.

Besides Red Cross workers, the Church of Scientology sent four volunteer ministers to assist by directing traffic and helping distribute supplies.

David Meyer, president of the Church of Scientology of San Diego, said he also likes to joke with people, asking them if they're here for the party and whether they've enjoyed their stay, to keep them calm during the crisis.

"If they get relaxed, they won't make stupid mistakes," he said.
